Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Shelv ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Shelv is a mobile application that allows users to track their manga and comic book collections. Features include barcode scanning, series tracking, collection statistics, wishlists, lending management, and release notifications.

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Shelv may offer premium features through paid subscriptions. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store account settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy

You retain ownership of any data you enter into the App, including your collection data, notes, and custom entries. By using the App, you grant Shelv a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce

The App, including its design, code, features, and content (excluding user data), is owned by Shelv and protected by intellectual property laws. Manga cover images and metadata displayed within the App are the property of their respective publishers and rights holders.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Collection data, pricing estimates, and release dates are provided for informational purposes only and may not always be accurate or up to date.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shelv shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause and without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email.
